Allmountain Freeride Skis

Grown skis are designed and developed in Germany, and handmade in Europe since 2007. The construction is specifically designed for highest strength and durability that lasts long. Grown skis have been tested in extreme physical conditions in the Arctic and on expeditions world wide. Professional mountain and ski guides have been using Grown skis for years. The unique technical features of Grown skis are achieved through a specific virtual design process and a balance between the durable structural wooden core and the technical triaxial basalt fibres. Thus, Grown skis feature a unique balance of stiffness, even flex with a sweet spot, high torsional rigidity, low weight and a long lasting agility and flex.

The new Outgrown for the season 2012/13 is our allmountain freeride ski for Alpine or Telemark. This ski does it all - carved for fun in the ski area, high torsion for hard pack piste skiing, wide enough for powder skiing, light for mountaineering. The wood core consist of hard and dense European beech in the center, light European poplar aside the beech, and tough and water resistant Robinia wood as side walls. The core is sandwiched with triaxial basalt fabric - pure crushed and heated volcanic basalt rock, specifically developed by Grown. The top sheet is European cherry wood with inlets from European walnut. All the wood is oiled in multiple layers with natural lineseed oil. Available in three lengths with widths under foot of 97 and 104mm.
